Women and heart disease

Heart disease isn't just a men's health problem. Despite big improvements in the last 40 years, on average, heart disease is the top killer of women (and men). The best way to reduce the risk of developing heart disease and to help prevent it from getting worse if it already exists is to improve or remove the risk factors over which you have some control. This brochure lists the main risk factors and shows the best way to reduce the risk of developing heart disease.
