Summary: A diagnosis of cancer can be a stressful time for patients, their family and friends. It can be difficult to deal with feelings of uncertainty, stress or anger about the changes cancer may bring. Many people get support by talking to close family or friends. However, it can sometimes help to talk to someone outside of your immediate circle who has been trained to listen and help you explore your feelings.
