healthtranslations.vic.gov.au/resources/me-and-my-catheter-self-care-sheets
12 Jan 2025... These self-care sheets help people learn how to care for their catheter safely and independently. They include easy-to-follow information about cleaning and changing catheter bags, preventing infections, solving common problems, and getting more equipment. The sheets also support clinicians to teach and guide people in their catheter care. Note: In English, the information is split into 6 separate self-care sheets: Sheet 1 – What is a catheter and why do I have one? Sheet 2 – How do I care for my catheter and bags? Sheet 3 – How do I change a leg bag and connect a night bag? Sheet 4 – How can I avoid infections? Sheet 5 – What do I do if something goes wrong? Sheet 6 – How can I get more equipment? In other languages, all 6 topics are combined into one document.     Â
