How the NDIS can help

This book is about the National Disability Insurance Scheme or NDIS. The NDIS gives funding to people with disability. Funding is money from the government for disability supports and care. The NDIS can help you find advocacy services to help you deal with stigma, feel confident, get the support you need –for example, therapy. The NDIS can also help your family. For example, provide money for other carers. A Local Area Coordinator or LAC can help you make an NDIS plan. If you have a culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) background you can talk to a community connector for NDIS help.
