Impact of stigma

This book says why stigma is bad. Stigma means people think bad things about you because of who you are. For example: your cultural background, your skin colour, your disability. Stigma can make it hard for some people to ask for help, trust people, be part of the community, live a good life. Stigma can lead to discrimination and even abuse. You do not have to feel alone. You can ask for help, and let people help you.
